Live USB recording depends on your radio firmware and your RC link. Blackbox import works with everything.
Which radios can record live over USB?

Live telemetry needs an ELRS or Crossfire module (CRSF). BLE bridge: works with any radio firmware via the ESPNOW backpack of an ELRS module (ELRS 3.4+). Blackbox import works with every radio.
Do I have to switch from OpenTX to EdgeTX?
Not necessarily. On a Jumper T16/T18, TX16S or Horus, updating to OpenTX 2.3.15 is enough — your models and settings stay untouched. Then pick USB Mode → “Telem” when plugging the cable. Other OpenTX radios (Taranis X9D, Q X7, …) do need EdgeTX for USB telemetry.
Is the TBS Tango 2 or Mambo supported?
Live recording is not possible: their FreedomTX firmware has no USB telemetry mode, and EdgeTX never supported these radios. Blackbox import works normally.
Do I need an ELRS or Crossfire module?
Yes, for live telemetry: the app decodes CRSF, the protocol used by ExpressLRS and TBS Crossfire/Tracer. FrSky, Flysky or DJI links do not produce a CRSF stream, regardless of the radio firmware.
My radio cannot stream over USB — any other option?
Yes: the GhostTrace BLE bridge, a small USB-powered ESP32 that receives the telemetry your ELRS backpack broadcasts (Backpack ON, Telemetry = ESPNOW) and re-emits it over Bluetooth — it needs an ELRS module with backpack support, whatever the radio firmware. And blackbox import (.bbl from the flight controller) works with every radio: flights, charts, GPS replay and stats need no live link at all.
Is there an iPhone version?
An iOS app is in development. Until it ships, an iPhone pilot can still use GhostTrace from a computer: the web app imports blackbox logs, keeps the hangar and holds the flight log. Recording live from the radio is the Android app.
Do I have to install anything?
No. app.ghosttracefpv.com opens the same account in a browser — import your .bbl logs, keep the hangar, read your flight controller over the cable, browse every flight. It is laid out for a large screen, so a computer rather than a phone. The one thing it cannot do is record live from your radio: that link is the Android app. And the demo higher up this page runs the same flight screen with no account at all.
